WARRANTY:
1. An original invoice has to be presented for any warranty issues.
(customer has the fully responsibility to keep the original invoice in safe and readable)
2. All Notebook, Netbook, Computer System and Server warranty are provided directly by the manufacturer in Australia, you will need to contact the vendor service centre directly.
3. All Octagon Electronics systems include one year return to base warranty. For other brand name products we need to return them to the manufacturers or supplies and the warranty details are totally subject to the manufactures' terms and conditions. Postage and handling may incur an extra charge.
4. All software and compatibility issues with Octagon Electronics systems are not the liability of Octagon Electronics and may incur extra charges for troubleshooting.
5. One Year Return To Base Warranty (RTB) is on most of the items purchased and any additional warranties are restricted to manufacturers’ warranty unless otherwise specified. One month warranty on all Ex. Demo items.
6. Monitor, Printer & Network products are restricted to manufacturers’ warranty.
7. Warranty void if product found in any way to be physically damaged, modified or mishandled.
8. Labour and delivery (to and from) will be charged if goods returned found not faulty.
9. Octagon Electronics Warranty covers the repair of the product including all parts and labour. Warranty procedure normally requires a period of 4 weeks or more to be completed and warranty procedure are totally restricted to the manufactures’ or supplies’ warranty procedure.
10. DOA (Dead on arrival) items are eligible for refund or an instant replacement and must be reported strictly within 7 days of customer receiving the goods. After 7 days of receiving the goods, DOA no longer applicable and you will have to process as warranty. Customer needs to obtain Return Authorisation (RA) number and must be shipped within 3 working days after RA number issued.
11. Customer has the fully responsibility to keep the original invoice in safe and readable.
12. Customer has the fully responsibility to check the original invoice has the same serial number on the item/s, if find the serial number is not match please info our office immediately and DO NOT open or using the items.
Please note that there are matters NOT COVERED by Octagon Electronics warranty and are listed below:
1. Items that are consumable or expendable or that require regular replacement or maintenance in normal operations are neither covered by warranty nor refund & exchange. Examples include, but are not limited to, batteries, fuses, toner, ink cartridges, blank media, and cables.
2.Faults due to lack of maintenance and the equipment being inadequately serviced, or problems arising from abuse, misuse, neglect, accidental damage, vandalism, theft, environmental conditions, or any failure resulting from dirt, dust rodents or insects.
3. The cost of reloading operating systems, software, reformatting or recovery of data.
4. Problems arising from the operation of the product contrary to the manufacturer operating instructions or from the incorporation of additional/incompatible equipment.
5. Physical damage caused by fire, liquid spills and damage by cosmetic faults.
6. Power surges or costs related to events normally covered by household insurance.
7. Octagon Electronics is not responsible for data contents or the security of the data contents contained in any returned goods. Our workshop works under strict guidelines, not to intercept with any customer data. Despite this customers should back up any data prior to sending the goods back to us; data can be destroyed during our testing. It is also beyond the scope of our control once the device is sent to our supplier. We do not provide data recovery service.
8. Customer is responsible for proper packaging of RA returns. All warranties will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately packaged. Customer is responsible for all the shipping charges associated with returning the defective merchandise. If any item(s) returned for warranty claim is determined to be physically damaged, the item(s) will be returned to the customer as is.
9. Octagon Electronics does not cover any product failure caused by networking and software error.
